Partnerships with Raritan Valley CC, Rutgers Division of Continuing Ed, and the Naval Foundry formed.
Through the Advanced Manufacturing Talent Development Center, the College partnered with Raritan Valley Community College and Mechatronics Boot Camp to train dislocated workers using our mobile training lab. We also partnered with Eastwick Hohokus School of Trade to offer CNC/Welding training for dislocated workers.
The statewide Rutgers Center for Off-Campus Initiatives—a component of the Rutgers University Division of Continuing Studies—administers the Rutgers Higher Education Centers (HECs) throughout New Jersey. The Higher Education Centers are the home of the undergraduate degree completion programs that provide those students who have earned an Associate’s Degree from an accredited community college the opportunity to pursue a Rutgers University Bachelor’s Degree. Camden County College is proud to announce its affiliation as a Rutgers University Higher Education Center. This will strengthen our existing partnership with Rutgers University–Camden, expand program opportunities beyond Rutgers-Camden to all of Rutgers, and bring additional resources to the operation. The Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS) will serve as the single administrative point of contact for Rutgers University and Camden County College. This change will allow for better coordination between the various Rutgers entities currently at the Camden County College Blackwood campus: Rutgers University–Camden, and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences.
The Naval Foundry held a career fair in the gym on February 24. Three hundred people attended and 40 were given tentative job offers and six of those were students from our precision machining and CIM majors.
