When you have a chance, check out the new African-American History wall wrap that the Camden County Historical Society installed in the library (second floor). The College has formed a relationship with the Historical Society about various historical art installations we can use to beautify our campus. There is more we can do with the Historical Society in terms of these types of display around our campus; they employ two young and talented designers with master’s degrees in History and experience in curating displays. This was a wonderful collaboration between the Society and the Commission—we had fun working together!
Many thanks to Karen Nicholson and Isabel Gray for their work on this. To find out more about the Society, visit www.cchsnj.org.
